Friday, January 13th parents and volunteers will be speaking to students in kindergarten through third grade about the message of the late Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The effort is a collaboration between the Montana Campus Compact, Missoula County Public Schools and the Corporation of National and Community Service. I spoke with MCPS Partners in Education VISTA coordinator Bess Pallares about the readings on Friday. That interview is attached. Last year 25 volunteers read to over 500 students in the MLK Read For Peace project. Call MCSP for more information at 728-2400.
