Starting January 1st A Carousel for Missoula will increase the price of ride tokens. Carousel Executive Director, Theresa Cox says this was a difficult decision for the board of directors to make and details the changes.

Cox says individuals with mental or physical disabilities will still be welcome to ride for free. The price of a season pass will increase from $40 to $50. A season pass is good for unlimited rides for the pass holder for a calendar year. Passes for 2012 may be purchased at the 2011 price through December 31, 2011.

Cox says they are also looking for volunteers to operate the Carousel on Christmas day, and during First Night Missoula, when everyone is invited to ride for free. Christmas shifts are from 11am to 1pm, and 1pm to 3pm. First Night shifts are from 3 to 5pm, 5 to 7pm, 7 to 9pm, and 9 to 11pm.

All volunteers must be trained by Carousel staff prior to operating the Carousel for the public.
