CEO of Local Bank Funds Hamilton Fireworks for Fourth of July Celebrations
Fireworks in Hamilton are back on for the Fourth of July thanks to one local bank. Farmers State Bank CEO Jim Tadvick said that even though he’s an "older gentleman," he’s "young at heart" and thought funding the fireworks would be a "cool thing to do."
"We saw the article in the paper that they were short funds," Tadvick said. "To me, the Fourth of July means a lot, you know? It's a celebration. Via a community bank and that, it's just something we thought we could do for the community."
Tadvick said the bank donated $3,200 towards the fireworks.
"All of us have gone through some very tough times," Tadvick said. "I'm looking forward to the Fourth of July and to celebrate. This is one way."
