Cheers, It’s Almost Time for Germanfest 2016 in Missoula!
This will be the 23rd annual celebration of Germanfest in Missoula. Germanfest is celebrating the partnership of sister city Neckargemund, Germany, set to take place on Sunday, September 4th, from 2-6pm downtown Missoula at Caras Park. Admission is always free to this annual event!
Returning to play music this year will be the German band S-Bahn out of Vancouver BC. A large portion of Germanfest is the food and beverages, and this year there will be plenty for everyone. Food will be provided by Covered Wagon Hot Dogs and Black Cat Bakery, with beer coming from Bayern Brewing. As well as lots of bratwurst, pretzels, desserts, and pop. The emcee for the event will be Mayor John Engen, and Brewmastern for Bayern Jurgen Knoeller will be tapping the Oktoberfest wooden keg at the event. There will be kids activities, commemorative beer steins for sale, so really this should be fun for the whole family.
Germanfest is made possible by the Missoula Cultural Council and the University of Montana German Department as well as many volunteers. If you want more information on the upcoming celebration call 541-0860 or click here.
