Is time running out on the US-Mexico-Canada Trade Agreement (USMCA)? Lane Nordlund mentioned this in his ag report which airs during our Montana Talks radio show first thing Monday morning.

Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA) is apparently concerned that time is running out to get the USMCA agreement through Congress.

Here's the update from Politico's Playbook, which also came out Monday morning:

SEN. CHUCK GRASSLEY (R-IOWA) told reporters he's "growing more alarmed that time will run out to get the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement passed through Congress this year. 'I'm very worried for the first time, starting about now,' the Iowa Republican said on a call with reporters."

Agri-Pulse.com added this:

“I think it’s fair to say that the clock is ticking,” said Grassley, who stressed that he’s concerned USMCA will take a back seat to elections in 2020. “Time’s running out and I’m going to urge Democrats in the House to move quickly … Until now, I haven’t been inclined to do that, but I’m getting worried.”

Meanwhile, Vice President Mike Pence did an exclusive interview with Laura Ingraham on Fox News where he called out Congressional Democrats for failing to pass the USMCA over a year after the agreement was brokered. Check out the full video here.
