Griz Fall In Overtime To North Dakota
The University of Montana men's basketball team lost a heartbreaker to North Dakota on the road in overtime, 88-81.
In a back and forth affair, UM took a 71-70 lead with just 11 seconds to play when sophomore guard Kareem Jamar scored on a layup.
But on North Dakota's ensuing possession, Aaron Anderson was fouled by freshman guard Keron DeShields. Anderson sank one of two free throws, and the teams headed to OT tied at 71.
Jamar and fellow guard Will Cherry led the way offensively. Cherry finished with 28 points, while Jamar chipped in 24.
Up next for the Griz is a very tough Long Beach State squad. That game is Saturday night at 7:00 inside Dahlberg Arena.
