If you follow only ONE Facebook page in the coming days, this is the page I recommend: The Miss Montana to Normandy Facebook page.

For those who have been tuning in to our statewide radio talk show Montana Talks, we have been covering the effort to honor our D Day veterans during the upcoming 75th Anniversary. Miss Montana to Normandy is the crew that brought an historic firefighting plane back to life, and will soon launch a team of Montanans who will parachute out of the Miss Montana flight for the 75th D Day anniversary.

Their Facebook page has been so uplifting to watch. As they fly from Missoula to Normandy, you get to see the progress they've made, the first jump out of the airplane, and the people they meet along the way.

One of my favorite posts from the Miss Montana to Normandy Facebook page were the photos of the plane on the ground in Miles City- especially since it was during the legendary Buckin' Horse Sale weekend.

Check out the photos below that Martin Parsons captured in Miles City (shared with permission.)

Also, if you want to follow the plane's path along the route, click here for this link to physically track the flight via GPS. (h/t The Missoulian)
