SHOT Show Day 3: From Montana’s Bitterroot Valley to the UFC
These are the ammo loading systems that are going to be used in Glendive, and they're made in Stevensville, Montana. We're talking about Alpha Loading Systems, just one of several great Montana companies we got to see at the SHOT Show in Las Vegas.
You can see one photo of the Alpha Loading Systems on display at the SHOT Show in the photo montage above (and several more in the gallery below.) I was blown away seeing these things in person. I've had some experience working with forensic lab equipment during my time in the military and seeing this stuff up close looked like something straight out of a NASA laboratory or something like that. I told the folks at the booth it reminded me of a GC-mass spec on steroids.
I won't reveal the numbers I heard (without their permission of course), but as I understand these loading systems are VERY high dollar and they sold a lot of them during just day one alone of the SHOT Show.
We also got to catch up with Nate Kouhana. He's the CEO of the Bozeman- based Anthem Snacks, which is now the official jerky of the UFC. He's a wounded warrior, 3rd Special Forces Group (A) green beret veteran, and an all around great guy. Check out our full conversation below (especially if you like Montana beef).
Other interviews from Friday's SHOT Show include Dusty Wunderlich with Credova, Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita (R-IN), Ty Heaps and Ryan Connelly with Xoverland.com, Erich Pratt with the Gun Owners of America, the "Midland to Moscow" guy- Texas Congressman August Pfluger (R-TX), and more.
I also got to say hello to the Bozeman-based Marine Corps veteran Steve Rast with LD Systems (in the photo above and in the photo gallery below). He's a great guy who is always looking out for his fellow veterans and connecting Montana businesses at the SHOT Show.
By the way, I threw in a Glock photo since I got my Glock 43x with the extended mag from Shield Arms in Bigfork, Montana.
