McSurdy Named Defensive Player Of The Year
Earlier today, the Big Sky Conference announced its award winners and all-conference teams for the 2011 football season.
Montana senior middle linebacker Caleb McSurdy was named the league's Defensive MVP. After McSurdy, a long list of Grizzlies filled the list of award winners.
McSurdy and senior cornerback Trumaine Johnson were unanimous selections to the all-Big Sky 1st team. Johnson has now been named 1st team all-conference three years in a row.
Eastern Washington senior quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell was named the league's Offensive MVP, while Montana State junior running back Tray Robinson is the Newcomer of the Year.
