Missoula Man Reported Missing at Triple Bridges near Alberton
The Mineral and Missoula County Sheriff’s Offices are working together to locate a missing Missoula man, 31 year-old Andrew Hossle.
Hossle’s friend and co-worker at C.S. Porter Middle School, Brandon Ihde, said Hossle was last seen near Alberton.
“He was last heard from at 10:00 p.m. on Thursday,” said Ihde. “We haven’t heard anything from him since. His car was found parked at the Triple Bridges near Alberton at 11:00 p.m. Thursday night. I was on the phone with him and he hung up at 10:01 p.m. It was not a completion of a normal call. He was talking to be about a couple of things and then just hung up on me.”
Hossle is described as being 6' tall and weighing approximately 140 pounds. He has a red beard, auburn hair, and brown eyes. He goes by "Drew" and was last seen wearing a maroon v-neck t-shirt, with khaki shorts, and green Chaco sandals. He was also wearing a red billed hat with blue on the front. He has 2 matching wrist tattoos and a large back tattoo.
Hossle’s vehicle has been recovered by authorities.
Ihde said Hossle was an avid kayaker at one time, but he said it was doubtful that he went to the area to kayak. Ihde said he did not believe that foul play has anything to do with Hossle’s disappearance.
Anyone with information about Hossle’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Mineral County Sheriff’s Office at 406-822-3555, or the Missoula County Sheriff’s Office at 258-4810.
