It gets pretty serious this time of year when everyone is filling out brackets. It takes a combination of skill and luck to outlast the rest of the field and claim victory. Friendships and relationships go out the window when every win and loss is so important and bragging rights are on the line. So make sure you find a few quiet moments where you can really concentrate and focus on your picks while you're trying to decide what fish will reign supreme. Yep, I said fish. I'm not sure what you were thinking about but I'm obviously referring to the Fish Madness bracket hosted by Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks.

Who will make it to the Fin-al?

Oh, you haven't heard about #FWPFISHMADNESS? It's just like picking winners of college basketball games, except, you know, the basketball teams are an assortment of fish. So you think it's tough to pick a winner between Duke and Kentucky on the court? That indecision you feel in the pit of your stomach doesn't come close to how you'll be torn between who to take in the first round between the Emerald Shiner and the Mountain Sucker. And that's just the tip of the iceberg. What if Channel Catfish emerges from the Fish Tacos region? Can you imagine them having to take on Shovelnose Sturgeon in the finals? That would be one for the ages!

Get your fish picks in!

You better get on it If you want to make your selections from the matchups of different species (or teams) found in the Marias River. Brackets are due on St. Patrick's Day and the action starts on 3/18. After brackets are collected, Montana FWP will use polls to determine the winner in each matchup. The person with the most accurate bracket at the end will claim the glory.
