The Montana Grizzlies defeated the Montana State Bobcats on a cold, but sunny afternoon 28-14 at Bobcat Stadium in Bozeman on Saturday, November 23.

The Grizzlies used stout defense led by the man from Bozeman, Brock Coyle, who forced two fumbles and had tackles in the double digits to lead the Griz.

Shawn Johnson ran back a punt for an early score putting the Bobcats up 7-0. The Grizzlies came back to score a touchdown late in the second quarter to knot the game at 7-7. The Griz came out in the third quarter and marched down the field for a touchdown, making the score 14-7. In the fourth quarter, the Griz scored again on a pass from Jordan Johnson to Clay Pierson to make it 28-7. The Bobcats drove the field late in the game and Shawn Johnson had his final score as a Bobcat, to make the score 28-14.

The game ended as senior quarterback Denarius McGee through an incomplete pass in the end zone. The Grizzlies ran out the clock, and the Great Divide trophy is headed back to Missoula.
