No Injuries After Horrifying Crash Flips Car on Stephens
Missoula Police responded to a crash on Thursday morning that ended up flipping a vehicle up on it's driver's side edge and shutting down traffic for a while. Missoula Police Public Information Officer Travis Welsh explains.
"Just before 10 a.m. this morning [October 11], officers were called to a two vehicle collision at the corner of Stephens Avenue and Franklin Street, the caller stated that one of the vehicles was flipped on its side," Welsh said.
Despite the severe damage to the vehicles, it appears no people were injured in the mishap.
"When the officers arrived along with City Fire and EMS they did find two vehicles with severe damage in the intersection," Welsh said. "Both drivers were alone at the time and both drivers reported no injuries. The intersection was cleaned up and is now open aside from barriers set up for construction. The investigation at this point is still underway and no determinations have been met yet."
Welsh says the accident appears to be have been a perpendicular or "T-bone" accident, it is unclear if either of the drivers will be held at fault.
