The Missoula County Sheriff’s Department received a 911 call after two snowmobilers crashed through the ice on Seeley Lake.

A missing snowmobiler was found late Monday night after volunteers trekked in on snowshoes to the bottom of Brimstone Creek.

A close call Saturday afternoon, as 4 snowmobilers who were buried in an avalanche northeast of Missoula all survived, and were able to ride out on their own, according to Seeley Lake Search and Rescue.
