Hamilton High School will welcome the top teams of western Montana February 21-23 as the Western Divisional Class A Boys and Girls Basketball Tournament takes over the Hamilton sports scene. Hamilton's Broncs and Lady Broncs and the Corvallis Lady Blue Devils will be in the three-day tournament following the District tourney in Butte.

The Hamilton Broncs won the boys championship, defeating Butte Central 54 to 52. The Maroons led throughout the first half, but Hamilton tied in the final quarter and won the game 54 to 52 Saturday night. Following that game, the Hamilton Lady Broncs and Butte Central Maroons had their championship match. Butte Central led 11 to 7 after the first, 19 to 14 at the half and final was Butte Central 43 to Hamlton's 40. Corvallis knocked Stevensville out of the tournament Saturday morning 46 to 33 and won an automatic berth in the Divisional. KLYQ will carry Hamilton's games in the Divisional.
