New Movie Releases: ‘Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark,’ ‘Colombiana,’ ‘Our Idiot Brother’ [VIDEOS]

Sure, Halloween is still a few months away, but it’s never too early for a good scare, right?

That’s what Guillermo Del Toro must be thinking, anyway, in his new movie ‘Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark,’ about a young girl who becomes terrorized by basement creatures inside her family’s 19th-century mansion. Katie Holmes, Guy Pearce and Bailee Madison star.

Of course, if you’re looking for more of a laugh, you could always try ‘Our Idiot Brother,’ in which Paul Rudd plays, well, an idiot brother who causes major headaches among his family. Or there’s ‘Colombiana,’ a female-driven action movie in which a woman (‘Avatar’s’ Zoe Saldana) becomes a professional killer in hopes of tracking down the mobster responsible for her parents’ death.
