Carroll College football coach Mike Van Diest is the Frontier Conference coach of the year after leading the defending national champions to a 12th consecutive league championship.

Carroll running back Chance Demarais was named the league's offensive MVP while Montana State-Northern defensive lineman Will Andrews is the defensive player of the year.

Demarais, a junior from Malta, leads the nation with 1,502 yards and 16 touchdowns this season. His 136.5 yard-per-game rushing is also the best in the NAIA. Conference officials say Demarais is the Frontier Conference's nominee for NAIA player of the year.

Andrews, a senior from Sandpoint, Idaho, had 42 total tackles, 12.5 tackles for a loss and seven sacks this season for the Lights.
