Favorite Missoula Brewery Will Hold an Adult Spelling Bee
We recently found out that a student from Missoula was getting ready to compete in the 2022 Scripps National Spelling Bee - and that's great, but now it's time for the kids to move over. It's the adults turn to do some intense spelling!
The Adult Spelling Bee Is Back at Draught Works Brewery
How do you get a bunch of adults to participate in a spelling bee? Why, you offer them free beer, of course!
That's exactly what Draught Works is doing - on April 12th at 6 PM, the Adult Spelling Bee kicks off with a written portion. There's no signup necessary and it's totally free to compete, you've just got to be there by 6:00. And from there, anybody who turns in a written test gets a free beer!
After that, the real fun begins: the judges will grade the written tests, and the ten best spellers will take the stage for a head-to-head competition. There will be prizes for those who get first, second, and third place.
Do You Think You Have What It Takes?
I think of myself as a pretty good spellor spullur speller, so I might be able to do pretty well on the written part of the test. But if I made the top 10? I don't know, there's a lot of pressure when you make it to the stage and have to spell words out to an audience.
Did you place second in your middle-school spelling bee and are looking for some kind of redemption? You can check out all the details on Draught Works' Adult Spelling Bee at their Facebook Event Page.
